Program Description:  The 15-credit, graduate-level Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Data Analytics for Public Policy is an educational program that provides students the opportunity to develop advanced skills in managing and analyzing large amounts of data and employing policy analysis frameworks to inform public sector decision-making.  The program also provides students familiarity with the policy and governance issues raised by the use of new forms of data.  To earn the certificate, students complete a required 3-credit course in the Data Driven Decision Making, and 12 additional credits of graduate coursework selected from a list of accepted courses.  At least 9-credits hours of work must be completed in courses with a PAI prefix.

Students already in a graduate program can earn the Certificate concurrently with their master’s or doctoral degree. The Certificate may also be completed as an independent graduate program.
