Program Description
The Addiction Studies Certificate of Advanced Studies is a 12 credit hour graduate program designed to provide students with core knowledge and skills needed for the development and evaluation of programs and policies pertinent to addictive behaviors.
Admission
This CAS is open to all the students who meet the admission requirements or are currently enrolled in an SU graduate program. Admissions requirements for the CAS include: bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA, undergraduate transcripts, one letter of recommendation, a resume, and personal statement.
Eligibility requirement: To be awarded a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS), a student must be matriculated in the certificate program for at least one semester. Matriculation may not be backdated.
Part-Time Study
Program may be pursued on a part-time basis.
Transfer credit
A maximum of three credits of transfer credit may be accepted toward the C.A.S. in Addiction Studies with program approval.
Financial Support

Satisfactory Progress
Students must complete each course with a grade of C or better and an overall GPA of 3.00 or better in the certificate.
