Minor in Information Management & Technology

Overview:

Where technology and business meet.

Information and technology play an important role in how companies operate. Discover how collecting, organizing, and understanding information can drive business success. And learn to design information systems and manage technology solutions.

The skills you will develop will make you a valuable asset to any organization. Best of all, it is open to all students outside of the iSchool, regardless of college or major.

Student Learning Outcomes


1. Interpret Information & Communication Technologies: Interpret the spectrum of information and communication technologies used across contexts.
2. Apply Information & Communication Technologies: Professionally communicate using information and communication technologies to solve problems.
3. Evaluate Information & Communication Technologies: Critically and ethically evaluate the impact of information and communication technologies in individuals and organizations.
4. Create Information & Communication Technologies: Design innovative information and communication technologies to address existing or emergent problems.
5. Manage People & Processes: Demonstrate the ability to coordinate people and processes towards common goals through information and communication technologies.

Select three other IST/IDS courses, preferably from one or more of the information management and technology concentrations.  A minimum of 12 credits of coursework MUST be at the 300+ level.
