Program Description
Syracuse University’s Falk College and Whitman School offer a joint degree program combining the knowledge and abilities of the Master of Public Health (MPH) and the skills and knowledge of the Master of Business Administration (MBA). Over three calendar years of study, students will complete 81 credits of coursework drawn from both schools. The MPH-MBA will prepare students for careers that require an understanding of both business and public health, capitalizing on the analytical training of the Whitman School and the public health training of the Falk College. The MPH-MBA program prepares students for careers as public health professionals and administrators, including in health care leadership, non-profit management, public and private sector social organizations, founders of public health businesses, and in consulting.
Accreditation
The MPH is accredited by CEPH.
The MBA is accredited by AACSB.
Admission
Students are admitted individually to each program as per the regular admission process and requirements.

The MBA program will accept two core MPH courses for its degree, namely PHP 627 in place of MBC 629/30 and PHP 630 in place of MBC 638. The 9 credits of overlapping electives must have relevance for both programs, including one course fulfilling the social justice learning outcome in the global health concentration of the MPH. |
