Description:

The Minor in AI Business Applications is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of AI principles in business applications. Students will explore the convergence of AI with business systems, emphasizing the impact of this transformation on productivity, efficiency, and innovation. The program aims to develop students’ abilities to critically analyze and apply key digital technologies and tools in industry scenarios, preparing them for future trends and challenges in AI and business systems.

This minor requires completion of 18 credits, with 12 credits at the 300-level or above.

To Declare a College of Professional Studies Minor

  1. Check with your home school or college to make sure you have room in your program for the required 18 credits of coursework and that you are in good academic standing.
  2. Map out the minor with your academic advisor to ensure you have room within your schedule to complete these 18 credits prior to your anticipated graduation date.
  3. Complete the Declaration of Minor form and return it via email to profstudiesminors@syr.edu
  4. The minor coordinator will sign and return the form to you.
  5. Take the signed form to your home school or college for processing.

  1. Identify and describe the conceptual and practical significance of AI tools and techniques used in Business applications.
  2. Critically analyze the application of these tools and techniques in various business scenarios to define their impact on productivity, efficiency, and innovation.
  3. Design and develop effective AI solutions to communicate data and insights for informed decision-making.
