The Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) is a 12-month STEM-designated graduate program designed for individuals seeking to build or enhance foundational skills in real estate. The program emphasizes core competencies essential to the field while exploring the intersections of real estate with sustainability and finance. It prepares students to become real estate leaders with strong financial expertise and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Free Elective (3 credits)


A course in real estate (RES prefix) or related areas, such as, accounting, architecture, business analytics, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, statistics and law may be selected, as long as it is relevant to the program’s learning objectives.  Students will select the free elective course in consultation with their academic advisor.

Learning Outcomes


LO1: Be capable of applying quantitative frameworks to make decisions regarding commercial real estate investment, deal structuring and financing.

LO2: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of sustainability in real estate by applying, analyzing, and evaluating sustainability practices to effectively communicate and manage sustainable real estate projects.
