Description

The Public Health program offers certificates of advanced study (CAS) in Addictions Studies and Global Health, a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of Science (MS) in Public Health

The Addiction Studies, Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) is a 12-credit hour graduate program designed to provide students with core knowledge and skills needed for the development and evaluation of programs and policies pertinent to addictive behaviors.

The Global Health, Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) is a 15-credit hour graduate program providing students applied skills in global health policy and practice. The program emphasizes the integration of social and behavioral determinants of health combined with practice and evidence-based strategies for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and policies in global settings.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is a 42-credit hour graduate program designed to provide students with core knowledge and skills necessary for the development, implementation, and advancement of evidence-based public health initiatives. The MPH includes a single concentration in Global Health. The MPH program is accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH). 

The MS in Public Health is a 42-credit hour graduate program designed to provide students with core knowledge and research skills necessary for the advancement of evidence-based public health. Within the MSPH, there are two tracks. The Global Health track introduces students to health issues in the context of the global community providing students with exposure to theory, research and applications in both the US and international settings. The Biostatistics track provides students with training in both introductory and advanced biostatistics - applying multiple different analytic methods to the analysis of public health data. Note: This program is currently closed to admission.
